Unseen

Well there are many unseen things that come into your life ; some good some bad.

And to date I have had many unseen occurrences happen in my life. And some have been bad; but a lot have been good. And the learning from both have my life coming back to

where it once was.

I am getting a lot of myself back; something that at times I didn’t think would be possible.

Memories And New Adventures

Memories of so many family gatherings; seeing people that were missed. Grandfather and his pickin’ n singing.

Should of paid more attention when he played his guitar; but then again didn’t think I would ever play the guitar. I was into dancing; ballet and tap, and singing. Everyone would sing along, and laugh; the more we did the more he would play. Then we would all sit down to eat; and talk about what was going on in our lives. Just close my eyes and I am there again; helps me cope with theway life is today.

Well I turned my web site building over to the company; that is hosting. Awesome customer service; everyone that I have dealt with so far  has been respectful. Awaiting for the upcoming launch of my web site; on into this new adventure.

Also I am learning to play the guitar; that is an adventure in its self. Since I am deaf in my right ear; very hard to hear what I play. Easy way is to record what I play, and then listen and improve. Now am working on the song , Sailing; seems easy enough. Many ways to play this song; so am working on picking and strumming combined. New band forming; and have decided to start with cover songs. Throw some of our own in as we go along; have written a few songs. Just have to put a tune to lyrics.

Today is a bright and sunny day; and brings up memories of walks in the woods of Vermont. Nothing like walking on a trail; and enjoying the fresh air and being in touch with nature. The sound of the birds chirping; and once in a while seeing a deer. A really wrong day can be made better by a walk in nature. Finding a stump to sit on and just be alone; and find your thoughts. You suddenly realize , that you have a lot to be thankful for; one being you have another day of life. Another day to be with the ones you love; to listen to your favorite song, read your book; or whatever else makes you happy. As we all know that tomorrow isn’t promised.

Now with the adventure part; I am doing something that I have wanted to do for years. Get a web site; and design it; well the later isn’t easy. I have the ideas just not the knowledge . A web site is up at ; http://skiesthelimit54.com; if you want to take a look. Now I have a web company building a web site for me; which will be active in 7 to 12 business days. A leap of faith is what this is.

Memories And New Learning

As long as I can remember I have always loved family Christmases . We would all share the morning at our house; open presents , listen to Christmas music. Then in the afternoon would go to Grandparents; and the whole family would be there. Grandmother would be busy in the kitchen; and everyone would just spend time catching up . It would be a crisp and snowy day; and sometimes the children would go out and play. The snow ball fights we used to have; and the cute snow people that were created.  Then inside all would sit down to the Christmas meal; mmmm makes my mouth water. Menu would include turkey, ham ,sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, fresh rolls. Dessert would include ; apple pie, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and vanilla pudding with cookies. After all of this was done; then Grandfather would get his guitar and play for hours.

Happy Childhood Memories

What is your happiest memory? Describe it in rich detail — the setting, the sights, the sounds, the smells.

When I was 7 or 8 years old; and I was standing in front of a soda machine with my Grandfather. It was a bright sunny day in La Junta, Colorado. And we were there to collect the money and caps ; from the machine. I always loved to play with all the caps. My Grandparents ran a home for Fort Lyon Veterans. And I really enjoyed helping them; set the table, put the medication in the cups; by the plates. And some of them had really wonderful stories. This is where I spent a lot of time; as my Mom and Dad both worked. My Grandfather told me I was like his little puppy dog; as I was always following him or by his side. I miss him so much; but am thankful for the many happy memories.
